With more than three decades of legal experience in the State of Nevada, the Stone Law Firm’s founder Phillip M. Stone, ESQ brings a high level of ethics and expertise to the practice of law. An experienced civil litigator, Phillip has represented clients in both state and federal court, as well as before the Nevada Supreme Court.

Phillip takes a meticulous approach to every case, finding the details that matter. He attributes this to his earlier interest in science. He attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California where he acquired his bachelor’s degree in science. Upon graduation from Pacific in 1980, a friend headed for law school prompted Phillip to take the LSAT. He took the entrance exam and tested exceptionally well, leading him to apply to several law schools. The University of Puget Sound Law School in Tacoma, Washington accepted Phillip and he graduated with his juris doctor degree in 1983.

“It’s constant learning,” he said. “It’s always a new learning process.”

The opportunity for continual learning drives Phillip’s legal practice, which focuses primarily on real estate transaction law and settling business disputes for small to large companies across Nevada and the United States.

OUTSIDE OF THE LAW FIRM

Phillip is an avid golfer, but as a Southern California native, he relishes any opportunity involving water, such as fishing and sailing. As a Reno resident, he’s taken to the surrounding mountain lifestyle, indulging in skiing and spending time with his wife.
